March

We have had a super busy March so far! We were in Arizona for the start of March and then Grandma and Grandpa Mahlberg came to visit, we went to MN, I turned 29 (boo) and finally we are home preparing for Grandma and Grandpa Herrmann to visit.  But it's fine with me, I like being busy.  Here are some pictures from the month of March so far.

Arizona Trip

We had SO much fun on our trip to Arizona.  We even got to fly out a day early to avoid a snowstorm! It was great to trade in the snow for some much needed sunshine.  We spent a week at our friend Lexi and Chris' house which they just moved into and we had a blast.  They have about 2 acres and horses were on both sides - Sophie LOVED watching the horses and occasionally feeding them some grass.  We were able to spend a day with Aunt Rhonda too which was awesome.  Here are some pictures from our trip!

She really wanted to sit on the horse until it actually came time to do it.  She was pretty scared at this point.

Snow!

 We finally got a good snow storm on Thursday!! We got about 12" of snow in one morning.  It was crazy!! They don't have quite the amount of snow plows that Minnesota towns do so it took awhile for streets to get plowed.  Steve's work was closed both Thursday and Friday and he was probably ready to go in by about 10am Thursday morning. Ha.  He did end up going into work Friday - he couldn't handle being home all day again :) Sophie is not a huge fan of snow, she doesn't like getting it on her and she doesn't like wearing all the appropriate clothing.  She always tries to take off her coat, gloves, hat and boots! It was 36 and sunny today (Saturday) so it's already starting to melt some.

Kansas Day

I wasn't really sure what Kansas day was, so I googled it:

Kansas Day commemorates the admission of the state as the 34th in the Union on January 29, 1861. Schools have been marking the anniversary since 1877 by learning more about their state's history.

They celebrated it at Brody's school, I tried getting a couple pictures of them before we went out the door.  They were to wear either Cowboy or Jayhawk attire :) Brody went with both!

Kiddos

Brody likes to wash dishes for us.  Stephen was home with the kids and forgot to put the step stool away, he found Sophie doing this.  She was NOT happy when he took it away!
