It really is just crazy how much babies change in one year. Here is a picture of her at each month. The only month I missed was her 11th month (we were out of town and I forgot!) but I just added a picture that was taken around the day she turned 11 months. And I know she weighed a little over 18 lbs because she had an ear infection and went to the doctor on June 30th! I added two pictures for the 5th month because one was just a face shot but I wanted you to see that she does smile too. She is a stinker and doesn't always want to smile when I want her too :)
This blog will be an attempt to keep everyone informed on our life down here in Kansas. I'm going to try my best to post new pictures often. I know that you all want to see how much Brody and Sophie are changing!

Final picture with chalkboard!
Taking Sophie's picture is not as easy as it once was!! I'm not disappointed at all that I won't have to do this every month anymore! I decided to just put all pictures up so you can see what we go through for just one picture!! What I should have done is set up a video camera to tape Stephen, Brody and I so you could see how crazy we are behind the camera to get her to even look at it!
Sophie is 1
I can't believe Sophie is 1! Time goes so fast and they chance so much in just one year! She loved getting some new toys! She really wants to get into her new doll stroller - so we are working on that :) Grandpa Rolf and Grandma Joan came down to celebrate and we had the neighbors over for some banana splits. Sophie was a little under the weather but loved all the action! She just makes her little noises and points at everything, it's so cute!!
Olympic Party
Holly and I had an Olympic party on opening ceremonies night. It was so fun!! We dressed up in uniforms - as you can see Steve went a little over the top! He told me to get a matching one - ya right!! We had different competitions - washers, a Frisbee game, Olympic trivia, and best uniform. Each category had winners and then an overall winner. We of course took the overall Gold :) Brody and 4 other kids were at our house with a babysitter (chaos!) and Sophie stayed with us. Brody got to come over for a bit before Grandma and Grandpa got here - he loved watching it!! Sophie enjoyed playing washers too!
