2013-2014 School Year

School started!! And not without a little picture taking :) Brody is going into Pre-K and Sophie is going to a Kids Day Out program 2 mornings at Brody's school.  So Brody is just about 5 years old and Sophie just turned 2.

Rock Chalk Jayhawk

We went to visit the Natural History Museum on campus one day this summer and decided to have a little photo shoot by the Jayhawk.

Matt and Christy's

On our way home from the cabin we were able to spend the night at Matt and Christy's and we had SO much fun!! Brody and Sophie LOVED playing with the girls.  We were able to have pizza with everyone and Amanda and Steve before baby Frankie arrived.  It was SO nice to spend time with family.

Cabin and Sophie's 2nd bday

We finally got some time at my parents cabin in northern Minnesota.  We had such an awesome, relaxing time.  The fishing was CRAZY - we had such good luck! The weather was SO NICE for July/August in MN.  We didn't even want to leave the cabin to run errands it was just so nice out.  We did celebrate Sophie's 2nd birthday too, but she was a little crabby that day because she choose not to nap so I didn't get very many pictures  Here are a few pictures from our week there.

Bonesteel

The kids and I were lucky enough to go to Bonesteel for a few days at the end of June/beginning of July to catch a visit with Rhonda.  We had SO much fun!! I of course have only one picture of Sophie and Great Grandpa Don so I will show you that but hope to get more.  Grandma Deb brought Brody and Sophie's birthday present - a little John Deere Gator for them to drive.  They were SO excited.  Brody loved helping Grandma Deb pull weeds and haul them over to the sidewalk.  We were able to get in lots of 4-wheeler and mule rides through the tall grass.

Long Over Due posts

I have been MIA over the summer on our blog.  I guess it's getting harder and harder to keep up with as the kids are less likely to nap everyday.  We have had an awesome summer, lots of trips to MN, time at the cabin, a trip to Bonesteel, and Nate and Amy's family came to Kansas to visit.  Unfortunately I had to get a new phone a few weeks ago and I thought I had transferred all my photos but it appears I have not.  So I'm going to update as much as I can with the pictures I have until I can hunt down some photos from other people.
