I finally got to go see the sweet babies in Colorado!! After 5 LONG weeks it was my turn!! I can't even explain how incredibly adorable and sweet they are. It's not as easy as you would think to take their picture together :) They are such good babies! They basically only cry when they are hungry! It is so cute to see them interact with each other already. Poor Ava did have a little headband malfunction under my watch - but I think she'll forgive me. I was so sad to leave them, I wish we lived closer to each other. Can't wait until we can all be together sometime!
This blog will be an attempt to keep everyone informed on our life down here in Kansas. I'm going to try my best to post new pictures often. I know that you all want to see how much Brody and Sophie are changing!

Grandma and Grandpa Herrmann visit
Stephen and I had a little "staycation" in KC on our anniversary while Dan and Deb stayed at our house. It was fabulous - we had a very relaxing time! Everyone came to the hotel late morning and the kids got to spend some time in the pool - they both loved it. Grandma and Grandpa took them to the park, gymnastics, and spent tons of time outside. Brody and Sophie always enjoy their time with grandma and grandpa - and they don't get spoiled at all.....ya right!!
Bonesteel
We had SO much fun in Bonesteel. It is so nice to get away and really get away, no cell phones bothering us all the time! We spent a lot of time on the gator driving all over the place looking for different animals. Stephen also introduced Brody to a BB gun - not sure how I feel about that. It was so fun catching up with Rhonda and Emily - they stepped right back into being Brody's partners in crime. He loved all the attention! We also got to reunite with some of Stephen's extended family who we rarely get to see. Grandpa Don loved seeing Sophie and watching her play and explore everything. Now if it just wasn't so far away we could go back more often!
Cabin Time
We had so much fun spending time at the cabin over the 4th of July. We were lucky to overlap some of our time with Jon and Anna and their family. We had an absolute blast together! The snapping turtle provided lots of entertainment!! Although we were not there to watch the end of the turtles life we did get to see lots of action. We also got to go to a parade and tubing! It was both Wilson's and Brody's first time tubing. They both loved it! As you can see Wilson is giving his mom 2 thumbs up! Brody was well equipped for the car ride but Sophie needed quite a bit of entertaining, of course though I went to take a picture of her being crabby and she gave me a huge smile!
Mahlberg Farm
Brody and Sophie were able to spend some time with their cousins before we went up to the cabin which was great. They both love playing with all the kids. At one point "Papa" was in the pool with all the kids except Sophie (he's crazy!). I don't know what it is about being at my parents but Brody always has to pee outside!
Fun at Home
We do try to have some fun at home too :) Brody loves golfing - Steve took him to the driving range once and he had a blast, we just need it to cool down so they can go back! We spend lots of time on the side of our house in the evenings because we can finally get some shade! My parents were down at the end of June to watch the kids while I helped work a wedding and Steve worked but I of course did not get many pictures. It was so cute though, one night we went on a walk and Sophie wanted to hold Grandma's hand.
