7 Months

7 Months Old today! And she was not in the mood to smile even with Brody and I being as crazy as possible! Things have been pretty good, except for about the last week. She has recently learned how to scream - loud and often and her first tooth popped through last week. Not sure of the reasons but she has decided she doesn't not like to go to bed anymore and has started to wake up in the night again....just lovely. Other than that she is just the cutest thing ever! (I know every mom has to say that about their baby - but seriously!) She is still getting the hang of eating but is doing better and usually gets about 3 meals a day. Her favorites are sweet potatoes and carrots. She really hasn't had much variety yet though. No crawling yet!

Grandma & Grandpa's Visit

As you can tell from this picture we had a great time with our visit from Grandma and Grandpa! Brody was exhausted! :) He went bowling, to the prairie center, discovery center, out to eat, downtown, washed the cars and had NUMEROUS car races plus more! He was in his glory! Sophie, Grandma and I were able to get some shopping in too! Plus Stephen and I got a break from the craziness of these two kids! Both Grandpa and Grandma loved spending time with both kids, it is crazy how fast they grow up, especially Sophie - she pretty much changes almost every day! We were lucky to have some great weather too! Thanks again for visiting - we can't wait until next time!

Valentines Day

Brody was so excited about Valentines Day! He loved making them - he wrote his name on almost 30 of them! It didn't always fit so he just put the letters in a random order if needed. He was also so excited to get Matt and Christy's package in the mail. We gave some to our neighbors and my nieces and nephews - he still has his bag from preschool that he keeps adding his new Valentines too. It is so cute! He made the cutest card for his Daddy too! Can't believe how big he is getting!

Emily's visit

I'm not sure who was more sad to see Emily go - Me or Brody. I LOVED having someone to entertain Brody or hold Sophie when I had something to do. Not to mention I was able to go to some appointments with only 1 kid - AMAZING. We had such a great time with her here. Brody absolutely loves getting to play with people. Emily was lucky enough to spend lots of time building garages, parking cars, racing cars, playing hide-n-seek, and the rest of Brody's favorite games. I only wish I would have remembered to take more pictures - I snapped these quick right before we had to bring her back to the airport. Brody was so sad after we dropped her off, he kept saying "I miss Emily, don't you Mom" in the saddest voice! Thanks so much for coming Emily!! Next time bring your mom too :)

6 Months!

I can't believe Sophie is 6 months old! I know everybody says it and I say it all the time but time does go SO fast, it is crazy! She is doing great! She is eating more solids, she likes bananas, sweet potatoes and carrots. She is starting to be able to sit by herself, I don't go to far yet because she still falls over lots. She sure loves her brother and the feeling is pretty mutual! She is getting a little too attached to Mama - maybe Steve and I need to go on dates a little more often! :)

Colorado

We had a blast in Colorado!! We love spending time with family! Brody especially LOVES all the attention he gets from uncle Matt (I'm too busy hogging Christy) - he even went to wake him up in the middle of the night rather than us :) we were ok with that! Here are a couple pictures from the trip - most of these are from when we went to the butterfly pavilion (it also had bugs and a few other things). We had so much fun and hope to visit them again!
